Art is when you hear a knocking from your soul – and you answer. ~ Terri Guillemets
No artist can predict where her passion for creation will take her.
Artist Andrea Rosenfeld’s exciting journey has been evolutionary and filled with exploration: from a University of Michigan, School of Art and Design student to Fashion Institute of Technology, Fashion Design student to Perry Ellis Portfolio Menswear Assistant Merchandiser, to Isaac Mizrahi Ltd. Director of Merchandising and Operations, and finally to creating and owning her own jewelry line. Woven throughout were the non-stop creating, gallery and museum shows while taking the time to teach others how to fulfill their artistic goals.
Skilled in metal working, loom weaving, silk screening, lithography, photography, garment design, drawing, painting, ceramics, woodworking — and now jewelry design — Rosenfeld makes use of a combination of techniques and eco-friendly, natural materials while placing emphasis on texture, movement, negative space and playfulness as a main force in her creations.
The most recent path of Rosenfeld’s artistic journey has resulted in her artwork blooming with healing effects. Born out of her desire to create something for a friend ill with leukemia this ah-hah moment gave rise to jewelry infused with a higher purpose. Although the act of creating allows the soul to open, she wanted to offer more to her clients who cared about the metaphysical powers of minerals. Using Reiki and other techniques, she instills her own personal message of hope and strength, and the belief that the wearer can feel the power of these specific healing stones and their energy of creation and regeneration, including their ability to strengthen good physical health, reduce stress and negativity, stimulate weight loss and more..
Andrea Rosenfeld’s inspiring kinetic art jewelry engages and adorns while her company promotes eco-friendly choices and philanthropy. Donating her jewelry and proceeds to various charities, and volunteering as a Chairperson for the Komen Foundation of Central and Southern NJ is imperative to her. In this way she can continue to honor her Mother, Sheila, a two-time cancer survivor.
